Infinity Métis Corporation (IMC) is the business arm of the McMurray Métis Local 1935 and a wholly owned Indigenous business.
Founded in 2003, Infinity Métis Corporation creates strategic partnerships with companies servicing the Wood Buffalo Region and beyond, advancing our vision to create work opportunities & support the social well being for the McMurray Métis members.

Meet Our Expert Team

Shawn Myers
President & CEO
Shawn Myers, President & CEO of Infinity Metis Corporation, Shawn has been the President & CEO of Infinity Métis Corporation since 2020. Shawn has an Engineering background who came to IMC with 42 years of Senior Leadership experience, being accountable for Managing Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Construction & Commissioning of large Oil Industry Facilities. In his role at IMC, Shawn is accountable to grow & develop IMC’s business and to provide economic & social support to the Métis community. Living in Fort McMurray for 42 years, Shawn and his family were a big sports-oriented family involved in a variety of different sports teams throughout the community. Together with his wife Kelly they raised 4 children and 4 grandchildren who are 6th generation to the Wood Buffalo Region.

Colleen Theriault
Executive Assistant
Colleen Theriault was born and raised on the East coast but has spent over 25 years in Alberta with the majority living and raising her family in the RMWB.
She has a diverse background and has held oil, gas, and higher education positions. Colleen can tailor her skills to meet the needs of various industries. She has increased efficiency in her assigned roles and is highly effective at maintaining and implementing organizational strategies. As a senior assistant, she has developed many employee development programs as well as planned several staff retreats. Colleen can interact directly with potential and existing clients and has streamlined various office procedures.
Colleen graduated from Lakeland College with a diploma in Business Administration and continues her education through NAIT obtaining her bachelor's degree while also instructing in the Office Administration certificate program at Keyano.
She is extremely excited to start a new career with Infinity Metis Corp and put her skills to work.
In addition to her duties as an executive assistant, Colleen is enthusiastic when engaging with students while instructing in the OA program at the College. She has served on executive boards with several non-profit organizations and strives to maintain connections within the community.
When she is not serving her community she enjoys taking in some of the natural beauties that the RMWB has to offer.

George Murphy
Financial Controller
George Murphy is a professional accountant with experience in senior position in a variety of industries. He arrived in Fort McMurray in 2005 working for several local companies before consulting on his own and working in the banking industry. Before coming to Fort McMurray, he worked internationally. George is responsible for all the financial activities of Infinity Metis Corp.
When George is not working, he is an avid hockey fan and loves spending time with his kids.

Sonya
Earle
Human Resources Coordinator
Sonya Earle has been a resident of Fort McMurray for 31 years. Sonya’s professional career has been vast spanning across the Social Profit Sector, Health Services & Human Services working with children and family. During her time working in Municipal Government, she expanded her education and knowledge in Industry Relation through Queens University. Currently Sonya works as a Human Resources Coordinator supporting the day to day business at IMC, she is also the Liaison with the Joint Venture partners in the Workforce Development and supports to Métis youth and adults exploring employment and career pathways.

Shelly Sorensen
Metis Trackers – Business Development
Shelly grew up in Fort McMurray has been working in Business Development for 20+ years her passion for Business, negotiation, Community and customer service, thrive in a creative, diverse environment.
She enjoys golf, cooking, gardening and volunteering in the Wood Buffalo community.
Shelly is committed to partnerships, building & maintaining relationships, Community Involvement, maintaining employment for our local members & employees.

Heidi Taves
Business Development
Heidi was born and raised in southern Ontario, she packed up her car after university and came to Alberta to see what kinds of opportunities Wood Buffalo had to offer. After gaining experience in bookkeeping and administration, Heidi followed her passion into marketing and communications, which eventually led into business development. With a strong background in building relationships through her work at the Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce, Heidi is happy for the opportunity to continue growing the partnerships formed by IMC.

Sierra Collins
Maternity Leave
Sierra has been with Infinity Metis Corporation since 2019. She initially started as a project coordinator but has since moved to the Metis Trackers Team Lead. Metis Trackers is a wholly owned subsidiary of Infinity Metis Corporation that provides labour services for the Wood Buffalo Region. She handles the day-to-day operations and ensures jobs are completed safely, on budget, and on time. Sierra loves to work for a company with such a community focus and loves to do what she can to help. Her educational background includes Business Management, Project Management, Office Administration, Human Resources, and Safety. Sierra enjoys spending her free time doing anything outside with friends and family. Including fishing, kayaking, gardening and snowboarding.

Tim Dyck
Board Member
Tim Dyck helps employers have the right talent in place with recruiting, Human Resources, and career transition services. He also helps job seekers find a fulfilling career with resume writing and interview coaching services.
He was recognized as the 2018 recipient of the Bowie Sustainable Leadership Award for building leadership capacity in a 5000-person organization. He also received the Council Commendation Wildfire Medal for assisting in the evacuation of Fort McMurray during the 2016 wildfire.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Calgary.

Bryan Fayant
Chairman of the Board
Bryan Fayant was the Manager for the Metis Local from 2004-2008 – at that time he was authorized to create Infinity Metis Corp around 2006. IMC provided the primary revenues for the operations of McMurray Metis.
After returning to Fort MM in 2013, he was asked to sit on the IMC board in 2014
When he left in 2008, it was to help manage a oil services company out of bankruptcy, that was realized in 6 months and he then moved on to work as a Economic Development Manager for the Fishing Lake Metis Settlement for 4 years at which time he earn a 3 year certificate in community and business development
Bryan return to Fort McMurray to work with CEMA in the Environmental field as the Indigenous Liaison for 3 years
In 2016 CEMA closed its door and the wildfire hit the town in May. Bryan return to FMM and acquired a job with MM as the Disaster Recovery Strategist
He continues as the IMC Board Chairmen
